This card design was meticulously illustrated by hand, using a Wacom pen, tablet, and computer graphics software. Every stroke of the digital pen or brush was drawn by me. The card was illustrated using old school, early traditional computer graphics methods (no AI).

First, and foremost, AI generated images are not art. They are created, by machine, using datasets that were scraped, through the internet, from art that was created by traditional artists. In short, AI models were trained on stolen artwork. Artist copyrights were infringed upon and the artists were not compensated. Artists did not give permission for their artwork to be scraped and the scraping was done without their knowledge.Fewer artists are being hired as more companies rely on AI generated imagery. As someone who held a career as a commercial artist, I am saddened that artists today will have a more difficult time finding careers in the field of commercial art due to corporate adoption of AI. I did not own the art that I created as a commercial artist, the company that I worked for did, but I was compensated for my work. I was able to pay my mortgage, buy food, pay for needs and wants, etc. while having a career that I loved.I support efforts to disrupt the unauthorized training of AI models, and hope these and future disruption efforts will provide a level of protection for artists to feel comfortable showcasing their art. I am a gardener who utilizes regenerative gardening, with hopes to heal nature in my small part of the world, while huge data centers are literally draining finite resources from the earth. While AI may be useful, I don't agree with the methods that are currently being utilized to build the datasets to develop AI models, or even to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).~ Renee Clark
